A triple receptor agonist (TA) is a drug which activates glucagon-like peptide-1(GIP-1), glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon receptors at the same time. Recent study had shown that it significantly reversed the memory deficit in mice.
Researcher have shown that; triple receptor agonist benefit by protection from synaptic loss, enhancing neurogenesis in dentate gyrus, reducing oxidative stress and neuroinflammation, reducing the total amount of ?-amyloid. The novel multiple receptor drugs were originally developed to treat type 2 diabetes.
